Dark Chocolate Brownies with Cacao and Tahini

This decadent dark chocolate brownie recipe was developed for Levels Health. According to Levels: "cocoa powder delivers that rich chocolate kick, as well as minerals and antioxidants that may temper inflammation and improve glucose". I love a treat that is totally decadent but is loaded with health benefits like this one, doesn't spike my blood glucose and is healthy enough for breakfast! I hope you enjoy these brownies as much as we do.

  • Preheat oven to 325℉
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together nut flour, cacao powder, allulose and a pinch of sea salt.
  • Once the dry ingredients are well mixed, add syrup, tahini, coconut oil, and eggs.
  • Stir to mix well until the batter is smooth.
  • Add the chopped dark chocolate chunks and stir to mix in.
  • Prepare an 8x8 pan by greasing it coconut oil or lining your pan with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 24-28 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. If you like, sprinkle with coarse Maldon sea salt or chopped nuts. Enjoy!
