Mike is an Orthopaedic Surgeon but he didn’t learn about nutrition in medical school. We studied nutrition together originally to heal our own bodies and to help our children. This knowledge began to help Mike’s patients to heal and lose weight and we realized we needed to share this information more widely with you!
I fell in love with clean cooking when I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse syndrome 18 years ago. This was the beginning of my food journey to heal myself. For my own health, I leave gluten, dairy and refined sugar out of my diet. My goal is to provide you with tried and true recipes, information and other methods our family has found helpful throughout our health journey.
I began experimenting with vegetables, fruit, healthy fats, nuts and seeds, grass-fed/pastured/organic meat, wild caught fish and eggs. All the recipes I create are unprocessed, free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar. Occasionally I will use gluten free grains and legumes such as brown rice, chickpeas and lentils.
