Homemade Flax Milk

I created this simple homemade flax milk recipe for Levels Health. So many store bought alternative milks have added sugar, oil and gums that really are not necessary. Making non-dairy, healthy milk at home with real food ingredients should be simple and delicious. Makes about 3 1/2 cups.

  • In a Vitamix or other powerful blender, add flaxseeds and water. 
  • Blend for several minutes until flax seeds are completely broken down.
  • Add vanilla and blend again until mixed
  • Using a fine mesh nut bag, pour the flax milk from the blender though the bag and into a large bowl, jug, or measuring cup. Squeeze tightly until all of the “milk” is now in the measuring cup.  
  • Store in a jar in the refrigerator until ready for use. Will keep 5-7 days.
  • Enjoy on Levels granola, No Oats, or in your morning coffee!
