- Bananas – You’ll need 3 bananas. The blacker the bananas the better.
- Eggs – I use free range organic eggs.
- Nut butter I use natural peanut butter but you could use almond or cashew butter too! Just be sure you are using nut butter without added oils or sugars.
- Vanilla – Use pure vanilla extract, not imitation.
Dry Ingredients
- Cacao powder – Use cacao powder, unsweetened or unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Protein powder – I used chocolate for that 3rd source of chocolate!
- Baking soda
- Sea salt
- Walnuts – Use raw, unsalted walnuts, chopped.

- 2 mixing bowls
- 9 x 5 loaf pan

How to Make Flourless Chocolate Banana Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
- Grease a loaf pan and line with parchment paper
“wet” ingredients
- With the back of a fork or a potato masher, smash the ripe bananas- be sure to leave some “chunks” as this contributes to the moistness of the finished loaf.
- Stir in eggs, nut butter, and vanilla and mix well.
“dry” ingredients
- Mix all of your dry ingredients together.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
Get ready to bake!
- Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread evenly with the back of a spoon or a spatula.
- Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top of your batter.
- Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

- 3 ripe bananas bananas vary in size so you will need 2 packed cups of mashed banana
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup nut butter I use natural peanut butter but you could use almond or cashew butter too! Just be sure you are using nut butter without added oils or sugars.
- 2 tsp vanilla
Dry Ingredients
- 3/4 cup cacao powder unsweetened

- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
