I hope you will love this simple recipe for Turmeric Golden Milk Spice Mix that I created for Levels Health. Turmeric is such a powerhouse of a nutrient and I love that a coffee house favorite can be easily made with simple ingredients at home. Turmeric's health benefits are enhanced with black pepper so don't be tempted to leave that ingredient out!

Equipment

  • small jar
  • milk frother

Ingredients
 

  • 4 tbsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom

Instructions
 

  • Add all 5 ingredients to a small lidded jar and shake well. This is your Turmeric Golden Milk Spice Mix.
  • See notes below for instructions for making a single serving.

Notes

To make a single serving of Golden Milk:
Step 1 Heat 1 cup milk of your choice: nut milk, coconut milk or full fat dairy
Step 2 Add 1-2 tsp (depending how spicy you like your golden milk) of the  turmeric spice mix to your mug. Pour the warm milk on top of the spices.. Blend well with a spoon, small whisk or frother.
Step 3 Add sweetener of choice if desired: allulose, monk fruit or stevia to keep this golden milk low carb or the traditional bit of honey.
