Ingredients
- 1 tbsp cacao powder unsweetened
- 1 cup milk of choice unsweetened, I love cashew milk!
- sweetener of choice to taste monkfruit sweetener, honey, maple syrup, stevia, or allulose syrup
Instructions
- Heat your milk of choice on the stovetop in a small saucepan- be careful not to boil the milk, just gently heat it
- Add a heaping tablespoon of unsweetened cacao powder to your mug
- Pour the warm milk over the cacao powder and using a frother, mix well
- Add your sweetener of choice: honey or maple syrup are good paleo sweeteners and allulose, monkfruit, or stevia will make this hot chocolate low carb, blood sugar-friendly and keto
- Serve with a a sprinkling of crushed candy cane, a few dark chocolate shavings, or a homemade healthy marshmallow!
