Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1¼ cup almond flour
- ½ cup lupin flour
- ¼ cup arrowroot powder
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp baking powder
Wet Ingredients
- 4 tbsp butter, melted look for grass fed butter, or use ghee, tallow, avocado oil, olive oil or coconut oil
- ½ c milk of choice unsweetened nut milk or full fat dairy milk both work well in this recipe
- 2 large eggs look for pastured eggs when possible
Filling Ingredients
- 1½ cup cheese, shredded (I use Manchego)
- 1 cup cooked broccoli, chopped
- ½ cup cooked sausage
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400℉
- Add almond flour, lupin flour, arrowroot, sea salt, baking soda, and baking powder to a medium size mixing bowl and mix well.
- To the flour mixture, add butter, eggs, and milk. Mix well using a fork or spatula.
- Fold the cheese, cooked crumbled sausage, and cooked and chopped broccoli to the dough.
- Divide the dough into 6 muffin compartments or roll and shape by hand and bake on a cookie sheet (either method will work!)
- Enjoy these biscuits warm with grass fed butter!
- Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
