Healthy Protein Brownies

These brownies are dairy free, vegan, gluten free, flourless and have no added sugar! These healthy protein brownies may just be the perfect allergy friendly treat. Healthy enough for breakfast, these fudgy protein brownies do not spike my blood sugar due to their perfect combination of fat, fiber and protein. These fudgy, healthy protein brownies are soft and moist and will satisfy the pickiest of eaters! Each brownie contains 5 grams of protein and just 6 net carbs. Whether you eat vegan, dairy free, egg free, gluten free, grain free, sugar free or are watching your blood sugar, these healthy brownies are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Ingredients
- 1 cup banana very ripe, mashed (2 smallish bananas)
- 1/2 cup nut butter or tahini or sunflower seed butter for those with nut allergies
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp ground flax
- 7 tbsp filtered water
- 1/4 cup cacao powder unsweetened
- 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder I use Ora Organics (available on Fullscript 20% off)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips use code NEST to save on HU Kitchen products like their no sugar added chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉
- These brownies can be made in a single mixing bowl or in a food processor. If making them in a bowl, be sure to mash the banana very well so the batter comes out smooth.
- To the bowl of a food processor or a mixing bowl, add ripe banana, nut or seed butter, vanilla, ground flax and water. Mix well.
- Add cacao powder and protein powder to the mixture and blend well once again. Scrape down the sides of the food processor or bowl as needed.
- Fold the chocolate chips into the batter.
- Grease an 8 x 8 baking pan and line with parchment paper. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth to the corners with a spatula.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Cool and cut into 16 squares. Enjoy! Save uneaten brownies in an airtight container.
