Elderberry Syrup

Course Basics
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups dried elderberrie
- 5 cups water
- 3 tsp dried ginger
- 3 cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- Bring the mixture to a boil and then lower heat and simmer 30 minutes. Remove syrup from heat and allow to cool for another 30 minutes. Strain out cinnamon sticks and elderberries.
Add:
- 1 to 1 ½ cups honey
- 1 to 1 ½ cups brandy

Notes
Serving suggestions: a couple tablespoons in sparkling water with a slice of lemon
