Roasted cauliflower steaks are easy and delicious and are a wonderful blank slate for whatever sauces or dips you want to serve them with! I originally developed this recipe for Levels Health. I hope you love this simple recipe as much as we do.
Cut the stem end off of the head of the cauliflower so that the head sits flat on your cutting board and doesn’t roll. Remove any loose or tough leaves. Small leaves are fine to keep -they will get crispy and taste delicious.
Slice the head of cauliflower into “steaks” about 3/4” thick. This will ensure that your steaks are cooked through and get crispy on the edges.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and line up the cauliflower slices.
Brush both sides of your steaks generously with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake cauliflower steaks for 15 minutes, then flip to cook another 15 minutes on the opposite side.
