Equipment

Ingredients
 

  • 8 cans navy beans
  • lbs bacon chopped
  • 3 onions finely diced
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 TBS sea salt
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon mustard powder
  • cups paleo friendly ketchup
  • 3 TBS GF Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ cup honey

Instructions
 

  • Drain the beans, reserving the liquid. Cook the bacon in a pan, and drain off any excess fat.
  • In a saucepan combine the syrup, salt, pepper, mustard powder, ketchup, Worcestershire, and honey. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Place beans, onions, and bacon in a crockpot and pour sauce over top. Add the reserved bean liquid if needed to cover beans completely.
  • Cook on high in the crockpot for 12 hours.
