Hot chocolate is a favorite at our house and this healthy version beats hot chocolate with refined sugar and corn syrup any day! With just a couple simple ingredients, you can feel good about serving this hot chocolate loaded with magnesium and antioxidants in the form of real cacao powder.
sweetener of choice to tastemonkfruit sweetener, honey, maple syrup, stevia, or allulose syrup
Instructions
Heat your milk of choice on the stovetop in a small saucepan- be careful not to boil the milk, just gently heat it
Add a heaping tablespoon of unsweetened cacao powder to your mug
Pour the warm milk over the cacao powder and using a frother, mix well
Add your sweetener of choice: honey or maple syrup are good paleo sweeteners and allulose, monkfruit, or stevia will make this hot chocolate low carb, blood sugar-friendly and keto
