Healthy Copycat Bitchin Sauce Recipe

If you love Bitchin Sauce, you are going to be so happy to have this version made healthier! No refined oils, gluten free and yeast-free, this bitchin sauce dip is easy to make with a few simple ingredients. It will be a crowd pleaser at your next gathering! This recipe is gluten free, yeast-free and free of refined oils. Makes 1 1/2 cups.

  • In the bowl of a food processor or blender, add soaked and rinsed almonds
  • Next add oil, lemon juice, water, apple cider vinegar, tamari and garlic cloves and pulse until a paste begins to form
  • Add the spices next: sea salt, cumin, smoked paprika, chipotle, onion powder, black pepper and cayenne
  • Allow the food processor to run for several minutes until well combined and smooth
  • Serve immediately with cucumber slices. As a festive touch, sprinkle your bowl of dip and your cucumber slices with smoked paprika!
  • Homemade Bitchin Sauce will keep well in a jar or other small container in the refrigerator for a week

Notes

This dip also makes a wonderful marinade for chicken! Thin the dip with a little water and pour over chicken thighs or breasts. Coat completely and bake in a 375 degree oven until brown on top and cooked through.
This dip is wonderful paired with my chia seed crackers!
