Paleo Caramel Sauce

MAKES: 1 8OZ JAR

Ingredients:

8 tablespoon water

1 cup coconut sugar

2 cups coconut cream

4 teaspoon vanilla 

½ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

In a saucepan, bring the water and coconut sugar to a boil, stirring constantly.

Once the sugar dissolves, and the mixture reaches a steady boil, add the coconut cream, vanilla, and salt. Cook this mixture for about 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

The mixture will begin to thicken and turn a dark caramel color. 

Remove the saucepan from heat, and transfer the caramel to a glass jar. Allow the sauce to cool completely before placing the lid on the jar, to avoid adding excess moisture to the caramel.

Store in the jar, or enjoy immediately.
