1 cup walnuts
1 cup pecans
4 TBS coconut oil or grass fed butter
3 TBS coconut sugar
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
3 pounds apples, sliced thin or small dice
¼ cup coconut sugar
2 teaspoon cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
(optional add a handful of sliced cherries or diced apricots)
Preheat the oven to 350℉.
Peel and core the apples, and slice them into ⅛ inch slices or small dice.
In a large bowl, combine apples, coconut sugar and cinnamon.
In a food processor, pulse together the walnuts, pecans, coconut oil or butter, coconut sugar, and spice.
Pour the apple filling into a pie dish, and sprinkle the crumble on top.
Bake the crumble on the center rack in the oven for 40 minutes, until the apples are soft, and the crumb is golden brown.
Allow the crumble to cool for a few minutes before serving.Print
